Mr. Subhash Chandra, Chairman of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEE) and promoter of the Essel Group of Companies is among the leading lights of the Indian industry. Mr. Chandra who is referred to as the Media Moghul of India, revolutionised the television industry by launching the country’s first satellite Hindi channel Zee TV in 1992 and later the first private news channel, Zee News. The ZEE Network today has over 670+ million viewers in 169 countries.

All of Mr Chandra's ventures are path-breaking in nature, be it the Essel Propack, which is the largest speciality packaging company in the world; Asia’s largest amusement park Essel World; or the first satellite television in India (Zee TV).
Mr Chandra has made his mark as an influential philanthropist in India. He has set up TALEEM (Transnational Alternate Learning for Emancipation and Empowerment through Multimedia) to provide access to quality education through distance and open learning. He is also the Chairman of the Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation of India — a movement to eradicate illiteracy from rural and tribal India. The Foundation provides free education to nearly 10,35,444 (1 million +) tribal children across 36,783 villages through one-teacher schools. He is the moving force behind the Global Vipassana Foundation — a trust set up to help people raise their spiritual quotient. Mr Chandra is also the Founder Chairman of Global Foundation for Civilization Harmony (India) (GFCH), an Eastern initiative for conflict avoidance and a partner of the United Nations Alliance of Civilization (UNAOC). The founder patrons of GFCH include His Holiness Dalai Lama and former President of India Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, among others.

Prof. Md. Irfan Khan
Ph.D. (IIT, Kanpur)
Professor Md. Irfan Khan holds a Ph.D. degree in demography from IIT, Kanpur and is currently Director of TALEEM Research Foundation- an autonomous research organization set up by Essel Group of industries in 1996.
Professor Khan had also served the Foundation as Head- Research and Finance Controller and contributed extensively in Foundation’s growth since 1998. He has been part of the core team from TALEEM Research Foundation to establish and sponsor the Himgiri Zee University (HZU) in Dehradun.
Professor Khan has nearly two and half decades of teaching and research experiences and specializes in the field of population, health and social development. In addition, elections studies and forecasting elections results are the other key areas of his research interest.
Professor Khan has executed 58 research projects sponsored by national and international agencies as a Project Director and Co-Principle Investigator.
He is one of the nation’s leading demographer known for his contribution in national demographic studies like NFHS, RCH, DLHS and GATS-India executed under the aegis of Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Professor Khan has also worked as consultant to UNFPA, Government departments and Academic Institutions.
He has been visiting professor and resource persons to various Indian universities and academic institutions and external examiner for Ph.D. thesis evaluation.
Professor Khan has attended numerous International and National Conferences and Workshops and has presented and published over 54 research papers in journals of national and international repute and edited books.
Prof.(Dr.) Rakesh Ranjan

Dr. Rakesh Ranjan B.E., M.E., Ph.D. from BITS Pilani has more than 25 years of teaching and research experience at Indian and foreign Universities.
He has co-authored books entitled “Renewable Energy Sources & Emerging Technologies”, PHI. India, “Signals and Systems” published by McGraw-HILL, Singapore/Tata McGraw-Hill, New Delhi, India, “Random Process and Queuing Theory” and “Circuits and Signals” published by Pearson, Prentice Hall, Malaysia, SCHAUM’S OUTLINES on Signals and Systems published by Tata McGraw-Hill, New Delhi.
His latest book “Environmental Science and Engineering” was published by Narosa Publishing House in the year 2017.
He has also contributed 35 research papers in international journals and 52 papers at international conferences in the area of Radial Distribution Systems. Dr. Rakesh Ranjan is actively involved in research at international forum and served as International program committee and technical committee member for various international Conferences and Journals.
He has guided seven Ph.D. students and has completed many sponsored projects. Dr. Rakesh Ranjan has the distinction of being listed in Marquee’s “Who’s Who in the World’ for Science and Technology and conferred “Sikhsha Rattan” at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
